WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR APPOINTMENT
The Consultation
Before getting started, we will discuss your makeup routine and lifestyle. As we go through a few simple questions with you, we will begin to work on the desired shape and placement of your future PMU.
Numbing
Most clients do not complain about any pain - some even fall asleep during the process! Before the procedure, we apply a topical anesthetic and wait 20 minutes to ensure you feel as little discomfort as possible.
100% Transparency
As it is our goal to enhance your natural beauty, we want to ensure that you are 100% satisfied. Not only with the results, but with your entire experience.
What is Microblading?
Microblading is a form of a cosmetic semi-permanent makeup formed using a disposable handheld tool composed of very fine needles resembling the shape of a blade to draw each individual hair while implanting the pigment into the skin.
What is SMP?
SMP, also known as ‘medical hairline tattooing’ or ‘follicular simulation’ is an immediate and permanent solution to hair loss with no invasive surgery, scarring or down time.
SMP is a process in which pigment impressions are deposited in the scalp to create the realistic appearance of hair follicles. It is undetectable creating the shaved or buzzed look naturally. For thinning hair in men and women, SMP provides the appearance of hair density and look of full bodied hair.
Touch Up
All microblading and permanent makeup is a multisession process, meaning touch ups are necessary. Think of this as the second coat of nail polish. The first one is alright, but the second one seals the deal. This session is done roughly 7 weeks after the initial procedure. At this session, we will fill in any areas that may have faded or simply go thicker/darker than the first time.
Preparing for Your Appointment
To obtain the most amazing results possible, we need to work together and make sure you are ready for your appointment. Just like an artist needs a blank canvas to begin an art piece, you will need to follow the restrictions below to ensure your skin is in the best possible condition:
PRE-APPOINTMENT RESTRICTIONS
28 Days Prior DO NOT get a Botox treatment
7 Days Prior DO NOT tan or have sunburned skin
DO NOT pluck, wax, tint, thread, or apply any hair removal
DO NOT apply on eyebrows any serums containing acids
DO NOT use Retinols/Retin-A or other anti-aging/acne creams 48 hours prior
DO NOT take aspirin, ibuprofen, niacin, vitamin E, fish oil (omega-3) or CoQ10
24 hours prior DO NOT drink alcohol or caffeine Appointment
YOU ARE READY FOR YOUR NEW AND BEAUTIFUL BROWS
THE HEALING PROCESS
Taking care of your new brows after treatment is extremely important to how your eyebrows will look after they are fully healed. Together, we created a masterpiece fused with your own natural beauty. Taking care of it afterwards is your responsibility, so I highly recommend you follow these aftercare instructions methodically:
First 24 Hours
Keep clean and dry. Do not get them wet! Do not touch your eyebrows! They may feel tender and appear a little red.
After 24 Hours
Brows should be cleansed gently 2 times per day with warm water and mild liquid soap (Baby Soap preferred) using clean cotton pads and gently swiping in the direction of the hair growth. Gently blot dry with cotton pads. Apply a thin layer of after-care serum.
ATTENTION!
Do not apply excessive serum as this leads to the
formation of scabs.
Do not apply Vaseline, Bepanthen, A&D Ointments
or antibiotic creams. Avoid exposure to sunlight for one month.
Do not apply makeup for two weeks
Do not swim or use the sauna for one week
Do not participate in fitness activities that cause a lot of sweat
for the next 5 days. Brows will start developing a thin layer of scab.
Day 28+
Your brows are healed and you're feeling unstoppable!!! During healing, small skin peels may appear. DO NOT attempt to remove them or peel them using any abrasive scrubs. Avoid sleeping on a pillow for two weeks as accidental pillow contact with the eyebrow during the healing process can remove the pigment in some areas creating asymmetry between the two brows.
The 2nd microblading session or ‘touch up’ is recommended roughly 7weeks after the procedure.
